TRACE Worldwide Acquires Three Units of Hunting Aviation
TRACE Worldwide Corporation of Los Angeles has concluded
the acquisition of Hunting Aviation's Biggin Hill based Airport Systems, Flight Inspection and Corporate Completions businesses. The acquisition, the terms of which were not disclosed, was completed on July 8.
Airport
Systems, renamed Airport Engineering, specializes in design, engineering and installation of airport systems including NavAid, ILS, lighting, communications and tower systems and controls as a prime or sub-contractor. Flight
Inspection carries out CAA approved ILS calibration at UK and overseas airports, and has developed NAVCAL, a compact modular flight inspection system utilizing satellite global positioning, which now has approval for operation in
eight countries.
Corporate Completions, to be renamed Aircraft Completions, offers aircraft interior design, manufacture and completion facilities, together with systems architecture and installation services for avionics and
entertainment systems, for a wide range of executive, VIP and commercial transport narrow and wide body aircraft.
TRACE Worldwide Corporation is a global aviation services company providing engineering and project management,
international representation and distribution services for aviation related products worldwide. TRACE has a long established relationship with Hunting Aviation's businesses.
TRACE Chief Executive, John Douglass, said, "We
see the acquisition of these two engineering businesses as significant expansion of our service and customer base. We have 21 sales offices worldwide to promote the skills of the Biggin Hill teams and already have a backlog
of work to bring on board".
Douglass continued, "We've worked closely with the existing management teams to develop plans for the expansion, both at Biggin Hill and globally. We will begin immediately to enhance the
capability of the design office and installation field teams who work at customer sites. We will establish a consolidated administrative support base for the businesses to replace services previously provided centrally by
Hunting. We have no plans for redundancies."
