Avionics Capability

Picture

TRACE Aircraft Completions (TACD) located at Biggin Hill Airport in Kent offers Avionic design and installation capabilities for a range of modifications on most aircraft types including helicopters.

Previous modifications carried out range from full design and installation of Honeywell PZ8000 integrated avionics in BAe125-800 aircraft to sophisticated entertainment systems in Fokker 70 and RJ85 aircraft in VIP configurations.

Recent design and installations of Flight Management Systems (FMS) have been undertaken at both Biggin Hill and at customer facilities in Africa and Europe to meet the BRNAV requirement. These installation design excercises were based on the the GPS FMS systems manufactured by Canadian Marconi and Interstate Electronics Corporation. In addition to the design and installation functions TRACE provide the necessary documentation and engineering coordination to complete the requirements for the issuance of FAA Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) for the airframe/avionics installations.
